About Us

Many people ask us how this event came to be?

We are a group of friends that came together in August of 2008 to start what we all hoped would become an annual event for the city of San Antonio and a wonderful fundraiser for our two charities. Each person that decided to help in this endeavor brings something unique and valuable to the table. Our concept is to grow this single event into a multi day Halloween event that is attractive to the entire city, state, and one day maybe the nation. Yes, we know it is a huge undertaking and an enormous dream, but we have decided that it can work and will work as long as we get the buy in from the San Antonio community as a whole. The director Gabriel Sanchez continuously uses the phrase, "Dallas, Austin, Houston, Fort-Worth, and New Orleans are great cities but keep the money here in San Antonio." If we work together we will be able to see this dream come to fruition within the next couple of years. It is about collaboration not competition amongst ourselves. And to that statement we would like to thank the "Ladies on the Loose" and "Ignite Magazine" who have decided to support our event rather than continue with their own events planned for October 30th.

      Our two charities are The Douglas Carter Scholarship Foundation and San Antonio AIDS Foundation. You can read more about them in other areas of our website. There is no general connection between the two other than we knew them to both be worthy foundations who could always use the help. Honestly who doesn't want to give to charities that increase the well being of others lives.

      We are currently working toward our 501c3 nonprofit status and operate as such, so donations are welcome. All proceeds are gifted to the two charities at the end of the event.
